Billing
Kommit plans, pricing, usage limits, and how to manage your subscription.
Billing
Kommit offers two paid plans. Both include a 7-day free trial.

Team — $99 / seat / month
For engineering teams and co-founders who collaborate on specs.
| Feature | Limit |
|---|---|
| Projects | Unlimited |

| PRD generations | Unlimited |
| Version history | Unlimited |
| GitHub repos | Unlimited |

| Team members | Billed per seat |
Team plan billing is per seat. Adding a team member increases your monthly charge by $99. Removing a member takes effect at the next billing cycle — there are no partial-month refunds for removed seats.
Free trial
Both plans include a 7-day free trial. A valid credit card is required to start the trial. You will not be charged until the trial ends.
If you cancel during the trial, your card is not charged and your account is downgraded to read-only (no new conversations or generations). Your existing data is retained for 30 days.
Upgrading or downgrading
To change your plan:
- Go to Settings in the dashboard.
- Click Manage subscription.
- Select your new plan.
Plan changes take effect immediately. Upgrading is prorated — you only pay the difference for the remainder of the billing cycle. Downgrading takes effect at the next billing date.
Managing your subscription
Kommit uses Stripe for payment processing. To update your payment method, download invoices, or cancel your subscription:
- Go to Settings → Billing.
- Click Open billing portal.
- You'll be redirected to the Stripe customer portal where you can manage everything.
Usage limits in practice
Usage limits reset on a rolling basis. You can view your current usage on the Settings → Billing page.
To get the most out of your plan, batch your questions — ask more in a single message rather than sending many short messages. The AI handles complex, multi-part questions well.
Cancellation
Cancel at any time from the Stripe billing portal. After cancellation, your account remains active until the end of the current paid period. After that, your account is downgraded to read-only access and your data is retained for 30 days before permanent deletion.
