Kommit does not offer SAML or OIDC single sign-on yet. This article says what sign-in looks like today, what is on the roadmap, and how to get notified when SSO ships.
Sign-in options today
- —Email and password. The default for every workspace.
- —Google sign-in. Works for any Google account, including Google Workspace accounts. There is no admin-side configuration.
- —GitHub sign-in. Same model as Google.
- —Invitation link. A new teammate joins from the link in their invitation email, then picks one of the methods above.
All three create the same kind of Kommit account. A person can link more than one method to one account from Settings.
What owners can control now
- —Who is in the workspace, and with which role. See [#inviting-teammates] and [#roles-and-permissions].
- —Removing a member ends their access at once, on every device.
- —Invitations, role changes, and removals are written to the audit log. See [#hash-chained-audit-log].
On the roadmap
SAML 2.0 and OIDC single sign-on, enforced SSO for a workspace, and
SCIM provisioning are planned for the enterprise track. They are not
live, and we do not quote dates for them. The public roadmap at
/roadmap is the place to watch, and the changelog at /changelog
records the day they ship.
